The VFW and its auxiliaries are involved in many activities in the community. At the moment we are raising money for several different projects. There will be a golf tournament and raffle held to raise money for a $2500 scholarship which will be given to a Guilford High School senior for continuing education at a two or four year college degree program or for a technical certification program at an accredited technical school.

We help the Ladies' Auxiliary on an ongoing basis with donations to enable them to make donations of comfort items to the veterans at the West Haven VA Hospital.

The men from the men's auxiliary have helped with the judging of the entries to the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen essay contests. They look forward to having many essays to read as part of their own scholarship contest.
